Every Thursday at 5.15 pm starts an architecture historical walking tour by architect Anko van der Woude. Starting point of the tour, flag at Brionplein and the tour ends at the 'Pontjesbrug' Otrobanda side (at 7 pm).

Landhuis Bloemhof is a cultural center dedicated to the memory of May Henriquez.
Contemporary visual artists are welcomed to exhibit their work in this historical mansion dating back to 1735. And there is much more to explore on the seven acres of the estate, like the frozen in time sculpture studio of May Henriquez, the Ex Libris May-Max Library and our gift shop with unique souvenirs and art books.

On the premises, in the gardens, you can also visit the bath house nestled between shady trees, the Labyrinth/Cathedral of Thorns, created by Herman van Bergen and the open air sculpture studio of Hortence Brouwn.

The Ostrich Safari tour takes you over the farm, which is located in a beautiful area on the road to Groot St. Joris in Santa Catharina. This house is one of the most beautiful in Curaçao. Habaai's elegant style made the mansion much sought after by officers and prominent families on the island. In 1805, when the English invaded for the second time from Daaibooi Bay, they set up camp here and launched the attack on the city. Landhuis Habaai is currently home to Gallery Alma Blou.

This plantation house dating from 1672, which was taken into use by the Royal Navy as a training center in 1965, is one of the most beautifully restored and furnished country houses in Curaçao. When visiting Banda Abao, the western part of the island, it is definitely worth a visit to Landhuis Ascencion.

One of the oldest country houses in Curaçao is Jan Kok. From the terrace you can look out over the salt pans of St. Marie Bay, where present-day flamingo colonies color the landscape.

Curacao has a lot of private owned monuments to admire but only Huize Batavia is open to the public to visit. Huize Batavia is situated just in front of the cruiseterminal and busstation. Just walk on to the Pater Euwensweg, towards the hospital and you'll see the RED BUILDING of Huize Batavia
