Club17 Curaçao Local Impact Program
Pilot Phase Launched, March 10 2025
Club17 Curaçao is launching the Local Impact Program, an innovative initiative that strengthens sustainability and social engagement on the island. This pilot phase is led by Club17 Curaçao members, who are both initiators and participants, showcasing the power of collaboration.
By integrating sustainable choices, such as skipping housekeeping or making small contributions during bookings, directly with local environmental and social projects, this program creates tangible and measurable impact.
Through this platform, participating businesses and consumers can track how their contributions are making a difference.
While various international programs operate on the island, often benefiting causes outside Curaçao, this initiative raises awareness of the many local challenges that also need urgent attention.
By keeping donations within Curaçao, this program ensures that resources directly support the island’s sustainability and community development. The pilot phase of three months will provide key insights to refine and scale the program for broader implementation across Curaçao.

Green Phenix plays an important role in collecting plastic waste at (tourism) businesses and preparing those for recycling. In this process, Green Phenix offers social workplaces where people with a distance to the labour market are empowered to live better lives
