Christoffel mountain trail - 2-3 hour hike/ climb (only before 10 AM)
A strenuous but rewarding hike and climb and a must see for anyone who visits the island! Commence your climb before 10.00 am and make sure to bring enough water (2 liters, purchasable at the ticket office) and wear sunscreen, hiking shoes and a hat.
It is recommended to start the hike from the visitor’s center, from which it will take approximately three hours to the top. You can also drive your car to the foot of the mountain and start the hike from there, from which it will take two hours.
The trail takes you through very different landscapes and shows a large variety of our nature. You can find bromeliads, orchids, lichens and beard moss along the trail. Although the trail is challenging, a unique and spectacular view of the island rewards you at the top.

White tailed deer - boka grandi
trail 1.5 hour
Pass through the picnic area and the deer sanctuary to the North coast and Boka Grandi. Enjoy limestone terraces and panoramas of the Savonet manor. Curaçao is the only Caribbean island where deer were present before 1492, when Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Shete boka park
Area with more than 10 beautiful Boka's (inlets) where three species of turtles nest. A boka is, in fact, an inlet. Shete Boka stands for 'seven inlets'. Years ago, the environmental group Amigu di Tera arranged excursions in this area along seven bays. Hence, the name is taken, although in reality there are more than seven coves in this national park. The park begins at the beautiful Boka Tabla where large, unpredictable waves crush against an underground cave. An impressive experience!
The Hato caves
The Hato Caves were formed below the sea level millions of years ago. With the Ice Ages the water level dropped down and Curacao was born. The Hato cave covers an area of 4900 m2, and is the home to the beautiful limestone formations, romantic pools, waterfall and our famous Madonna statue. Also inside the Cave is a colony of seldom seen long nose fruit bats.
Parke Roi Rincon near Hato AirPort
Especially for hikers, such a beautiful park is near HATO AirPort. Need good footwear, and water.
Right at the start you can park your car and go for a walk. On the right side you can follow a path with yellow stones. At the end of the park is a gate and the road where cars (jeeps) can drive. Then you have to walk back via the wide road. Or you can drive your car to the center of the park and then start walking.
