Goal:
Chogogo Beach & Dive Resort wants to increase and improve awareness of water usage and recycling on the island, primarily among their guests and staff. In doing so, they will start a Recycling Month in July, expanding our collection points and introducing a series of training programs their staff.
Why is Chogogo Beach & Dive Resort partnering with Water Refill Program Curaçao?
As Preferred Partner of the Month, in collaboration with D-TAP, our goal is to increase and improve awareness of water usage and recycling on the island, primarily among our guests and our staff. In doing so, we will start a Recycling Month in July, expanding our collection points and introducing a series of training programs for our staff. In partnership with D-TAP Foundation we have adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDG6 & SDG12.
Chogogo Resort believes in corporate and social responsibility. This means that we operate our business with great regard for the local environment and the local community. An important aspect of this is improving environmental awareness and promoting sustainable tourism on Curacao with regard to water usage and recycling.
Water Refill Program Curaçao and Chogogo Beach & Dive Resort forces to adopt a sustainble goal together
The 'Water Refill Program Curaçao' started out as a pilot in June 2019. During the lockdown, D-TAP Foundation has converted their findings into a renewed policy. Through the 'Water Refill Program', there is a broader commitment to a more sustainable Curaçao, both short term and long term. The Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations became the compass of the program.

Charity partner special edition
By purchasing the special edition D-TAP water bottle from Curaçao you. donate to CARMABI education. They informs school children about the importance of nature and our environment and the protection, conservation and sustainable development of the island. They do so by providing programs in the field, in the classroom, providing educational materials for schools and make information accessible for the youth.
Our donation will be used to expand the school education program for local children in the Savonet Museum located in “Landhuis Savonet” inside the Christoffel Park.
